How we got started

The Hospital was founded by Late. Dr. M.R. Morris a Surgeon with 46 years of Experience with an impeccable Surgical legacy. He is the First Surgeon in this District to obtain the Fellowship from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, UK. This Hospital is now a Partnership firm, managed by his Daughter Dr. Anita Robinson M.R.C.P., (UK), DCH (London), a full time Pediatrician and her husband Dr. Rubakaran Robinson F.R.C.S., a full time Surgeon with interest in Gastroenterology, Laparoscopy and Endoscopic Surgeries.

Dr. M.R. Morris is the eldest son of Dr. Mathias and was intimately involved with the Mathias Hospital which was started in 1935. Morris Mathias Hospital is therefore closely linked with the erstwhile Mathias Hospital. We are a 120 bedded private hospital.

We cater to all categories of patients and people from all socioeconomic status seek medical services from us. The hospital has cliental established from all areas of the district. Even though the hospital is in the urban area of the town we attract patients from coastal areas and nearby districts. The hospital is easily accessible by road and rail and all town and district buses stop in front of the hospital.
